Single tooth implants
Replacing an individual missing tooth with an implant that supports a custom-made crown, without altering the neighbouring teeth.
Dr John Paul Lee has a particular interest in implantology and oral surgery, with a focus on providing advanced treatment options locally so that patients can access this care without always needing to travel to a major city.
Using digital scanning and imaging, we plan implant and rehabilitation cases carefully, with an emphasis on function, precision and long-term oral health as well as a natural-looking result.

Replacing an individual missing tooth with an implant that supports a custom-made crown, without altering the neighbouring teeth.

Treatment for patients missing several teeth or a full arch, using implants to support a fixed or removable restoration. This is our first priority treatment as a practice.

Custom oral appliances that may help some patients who snore or who have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea, used in conjunction with medical advice.

Assessment and management of jaw joint pain, clicking, limited opening and related symptoms, which are often connected to grinding, clenching or an unbalanced bite.
Complex treatment depends on planning. We use an intraoral scanner, OPG imaging and RayFace facial scanning to build a clear picture of your teeth, bone and facial proportions before treatment begins.
Digital planning allows us to assess whether there is enough bone to support an implant, decide on positioning, and discuss the sequence and timeframe with you. It also means we can show you what we are seeing rather than asking you to take it on trust.
Our in-house milling machine and furnace allow certain restorations to be fabricated at the practice.

Not every patient is a candidate for implant treatment. Bone volume, gum health, general health, medications and habits such as smoking all affect whether implants are appropriate and how well they perform.
Implant treatment is usually staged over several months, as healing time is required between stages. We will explain the timeline, the risks, the alternatives — including dentures and bridges — and the ongoing maintenance required, so you can make a properly informed decision.
Results vary between patients. Implants require regular reviews and good daily cleaning, and like natural teeth they can be affected by gum disease if not maintained.
Our approach is centred on doing what is right for each patient rather than simply what can be done. Where a simpler option would serve you well, we will say so. Where a case would be better managed elsewhere, we will refer you.

Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the practice. HICAPS is available for on-the-spot health fund claiming, so please bring your health fund card. We are a preferred provider for Medibank and Bupa, and we participate in Smile.com.au. Payment plans are available through DentiCare and Pretty Penny Finance.
Suitability depends on your bone, gum health, general health and medications. An assessment with scans and imaging is the only way to know, and we will tell you honestly if implants are not the right option.
Bone needs time to heal around an implant before it can carry a restoration, so treatment is staged across several months. Your assessment will set out the steps and the timing.
Yes. Single tooth implants, multiple implants and full arch treatment are provided at our Seymour practice, planned using digital imaging and scanning.
Depending on your situation, a bridge or a denture may be appropriate. We will explain the advantages, limitations and cost of each option before you decide.
Implants need thorough daily cleaning and regular professional reviews. Gum disease around an implant can lead to problems, so maintenance matters.
