Intraoral scanner
A small handheld scanner captures a detailed digital model of your teeth and gums in a few minutes. For many patients this replaces conventional impression material, which is a significant improvement if you have a strong gag reflex.
Digital scans are also used to make crowns, aligners, mouthguards and dentures, and can be stored and compared over time to track changes such as tooth wear or gum recession.
OPG imaging
An OPG is a single X-ray that captures your whole upper and lower jaw in one image. It shows all the teeth, including those not yet erupted, along with the jaw joints and surrounding bone.
It is particularly useful for assessing wisdom teeth, planning extractions and reviewing bone levels before implant treatment.
RayFace facial scanning
RayFace captures a three-dimensional scan of your face. Combined with dental scans and imaging, it allows Dr Lee to plan rehabilitation cases in the context of your facial proportions, not just your teeth.
This is used for treatment planning of more complex cases, including full arch and implant rehabilitation.
In-house milling machine and furnace
Our practice has a milling machine and furnace for fabricating crowns on site. Producing certain restorations in the practice can reduce waiting time and the number of appointments required.

Digital scans and images can be shown to you on screen. Seeing what we are seeing makes a treatment discussion a shared conversation rather than a one-sided explanation.
More predictable planning
Planning digitally allows us to assess bone, position and fit before treatment begins, which reduces surprises during the procedure.
Fewer appointments in some cases
Where a restoration can be made on site, treatment may be completed in fewer visits than would otherwise be required.
Radiation and Safety
Dental X-rays are taken only when clinically necessary, and we use the lowest exposure appropriate to obtain the information we need. If you are pregnant or think you may be, please tell us before any imaging.
